Features and Benefits
1. Superior Sensitive Optics by Light Polarization
Bioneer’s imaging technique based on polarization of light provides sensitive detection for robust and reliable results. Our patented polarizing optical apparatus mitigates the common problem of a refection light*, allowing precise quantification and target discrimination.

*Problem of a reflection light: In the conventional technology, excitation light is generally brighter than the fluorescence generated from the sample. Therefore, light reflected from an optical component interferes with the fluorescence generated from the sample. Furthermore, it is hard to completely distinguish one from the other. This can cause imprecise and unreliable results.
2. Improved Thermal Block Ramp Rate
Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4) reduces the experimental time due to improved ramp rate compared to previous model.

3. Excellent Accuracy and Uniformity
Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4)’s precise temperature control system improves the temperature accuracy and uniformity on the whole well of the thermal block. The temperature differences between center and border wells are also remarkably reduced. As a result of the thermal reliability, user can achieve reproducible results.

By implementing the in-house designed LT technology in the optics module well-to-well signal variation has been virtually minimized and well-to-well optical homogeneity has been improved. No matter which well the reaction occurs in, the Ct variation will be within 0.3 Ct.

4. Simultaneous Detection
Instruments that scan each well or by column have the inherent disadvantage of letting the reaction proceed while measuring, thus producing the undesirable effect of detection lag. The 2D CCD (Charge Coupled Device) sensor of Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4) measures all 96 wells simultaneously, eliminating detection lag between wells.
5. Self-diagnostics
The software of Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4) performs instrument diagnostics before each experiment, preventing run errors from occurring before the experiment and thus saving valuable samples and reagents from going to waste.
6. Automatic Door Open/Close Function
The loading door is motorized for automatic door opening/closing, which adds convenience and flexibility in operating, as the instrument can easily be incorporated into an automated workflow.
7. The Dynamic Range of Detection is Wide at over 109
The benefit of having a wide linear dynamic range is especially important for the quantification of low concentration target. It makes experimentation easier by avoiding re-assays and dilution issues. Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4) has nine orders of magnitude-wide dynamic range especially for the quantitative experiment.

8. Intuitive & Convenient Software
A user-friendly interface provides convenience in all steps of the qPCR process including protocol setup, data analysis and result storage. Analysis software that comes with Exicycler™ 96 (Ver.4) has 4 different tools - Absolute Quantification, Relative Quantification, Existence/Nonexistence and SNP Genotyping Analysis modules. Users can simply choose an appropriate tool according to their experiment purpose. They can learn how to use the software shortly.
