Overview
Electrochemical corrosion is the degradation of metals through electrochemical reactions with their environment, typically involving electron transfer in the presence of an electrolyte. It can lead to material weakening and occurs in forms like uniform, pitting, or galvanic corrosion. Understanding and analyzing this process, using techniques like polarization curves and EIS, is crucial for improving material durability and corrosion resistance in various industries.
This test service can provide Tafel Polarization Curve, EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy), OCP (Open Circuit Potential), CV (Cyclic Voltammetry), Mott-Schottky Analysis.
Reservation Note
Sample Preparation:
- For powder samples: Prepare at least 10 mg.
- For solution samples: Provide at least 0.5 mL for electrode coating tests.
Coating/Flat Plate Electrolytic Cell Testing:
- For a testing area of 1 cm², the effective dimensions (length and width) should exceed 15 mm.
- For a testing area of 0.5 cm², the effective dimensions should exceed 10 mm. Ensure the surface is flat.
Electrolyte Information:
- If the electrolyte is not simulated seawater, specify the exact composition (e.g., acids, bases, salts) in the experimental notes, and indicate whether it is non-toxic and non-hazardous.
Data Analysis Services:
- Additional fees apply for post-test services such as data plotting, EIS fitting, and Tafel slope analysis. Pricing will be discussed after testing is completed.
