Fused quartz window glass – JGS2, 25 mm x 25 mm x 0.5 mm
SKU: WA1004
This optical grade fused quartz window (JGS2) combines excellent physical properties with outstanding optical characteristics. It is a preferred material in transmission spectro-electrochemistry in the band from 260 nm to 2100 nm. It is a bubble-free quartz window with a very high content of pure silica (SiO2 ≥ 99.9).
Application note:
It is resistant to water and strong acids (excluding hydrofluoric acid) and low resistance (as compared with other types of glass) to alkali. Quartz glass has a high melting point and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which makes it resistant to sudden changes in temperature (thermal shock resistance). It is commonly used as a glass window in spectro-electrochemical cell or as a substrate for samples that requires high temperature post-treatment.
