In-situ X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Analytical Service
SKU: INSXRD001
Overview
In-situ XRD (X-ray Diffraction) is a technique used to monitor structural changes in materials in real-time under specific conditions, such as during heating, cooling, pressurization, or chemical reactions. It provides valuable insights into phase transitions, crystal structure evolution, and reaction mechanisms. This technique is widely applied in fields like battery research, catalysis, material science, and metallurgy, allowing researchers to study dynamic processes directly and optimize material performance.
Testing Range
- Available atmospheres: nitrogen, argon, vacuum, air, etc.
- Temperature range: -180°C to 1100°C.
Sample Requirements:
-
Powder samples: Prepare at least 50 mg, preferably 0.1 g or more. Smaller quantities can be used with a micro-chamber, though the results may not be optimal. The sample should have uniform particle size (approximately 45 µm or passed through a 200-mesh sieve) and feel smooth to the touch, resembling flour.
-
Bulk samples: Dimensions should be 1–2 cm in length and width (generally not smaller than 1 cm) with a thickness of 3 mm. The testing surface must be specified, and it should be flat and clean.
Instrument Model: SmartLab-9kW, PANalytical Empyrean X-ray Diffractometer, etc.
Note: The listed price is for reference only. Please request a quote for the final pricing.
Analytical Service Minimum order requirement: $250 per order. A $200 handling fee will be applied if order is below $250.
Please contact sales@msesupplies.com for additional information and instructions on our Analytical Services program. Confirmation of the sample(s) requirements, SDS sheets and additional information is needed prior to processing the Analytical Service order.
