MSE PRO™ Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LiMn0.6Fe0.4PO4) LMFP Cathode Powder, 500g

Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate, LiMn0.6Fe0.4PO4 (LMFP) is a promising cathode material with combined features of the high safety of LiFePO4 and the high energy density of LiMnPO4. The improved electrochemical performance is ascribed to the higher octahedral distortion of (Mn, Fe)O6 and easiness of Li diffusion due to much fewer anisotropic ellipsoids for Li in LMFP. The LMFP based batteries have unique features compared with lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) based, such as superior safety, extended life, low production cost, and a wider range of operating conditions. It can deliver up to 25% greater energy density than that of standard Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP cells). Recently, Prof. Zhonglin Wang used LMFP for flexible lithium ion batteries with no obvious performance degradation after 300 cycles.
