The MSE PRO™ Alizarin Complexation Indicator, also known as Fluorine Reagent, is soluble in alkaline aqueous solution, its color varies with pH, slightly soluble in water (0.2 g/L), insoluble in ether, ethanol and other non-polar organic solvents. Slightly soluble in water at pH>5, solubility decreases at pH<5.

Applications:
Used for spectrophotometric determination of fluorine, as a complexation indicator; determination of aluminum, barium, manganese, nickel, calcium, cadmium, cobalt, copper, indium, lead, strontium, zinc and rare earths. Prepared as 0.5% aqueous solution, used as complexation titration indicator.
