MSE PRO™ Catalase, Lyophilized

The MSE PRO™ The proteins encoded by this gene belong to a highly conserved family of cell cycle proteins, the protein abundance of its members is significantly cyclic in the cell cycle. Cell cycle proteins function to regulate CDK kinase. Different cell cycle proteins exhibit different patterns of expression and degradation, which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic process. This cell cycle protein forms a complex with CDK4 or CDK6 and acts as the regulatory subunit of the complex, whose activity is required for the cell cycle G1/S transition. Studies have shown that this protein interacts with and is involved in the phosphorylation of the tumor suppressor protein Rb. Knockout studies of the mouse homologue have shown that this gene plays an important role in ovarian granulosa cell and germ cell proliferation. High levels of expression of the gene were observed in ovarian and testicular tumors. Mutations in this gene are associated with megalencephalo-cerebellar-polyposis-hydrocephalus syndrome 3 (MPPH3).
