The MSE PRO™ Chymotrypsin preferentially catalyzes the hydrolysis of peptide bonds involving tyrosine, phenylalanine and tryptophan L-isomers. It also readily acts on amides and esters of susceptible amino acids. Chymotrypsin catalyzes the hydrolysis of bonds involving lauryl, methionyl, asparaginyl, and glutamyl residues.
