MSE PRO™ Deoxyribonuclease I, Recombinant, Solution
The MSE PRO™ Deoxyribonuclease I, Recombinant, Solution, Bovine pancreatic deoxyribonuclease I was produced recombinantly in the yeast Pichia pastoris to reduce levels of contaminating RNase and to eliminate potential pathogens associated with animal material. Recombinant production of DNase I in organisms with much lower levels of endogenous RNase greatly facilitates purification of enzymes with undetectable levels of RNase. Recombinant DNase I is suitable for: ^ Removal of genomic DNA from RNA preparations prior to RT-PCR ^ Degradation of DNA templates after transcription reactions ^ Removal of unwanted DNA from samples prior to Northern blotting ^ Removal of DNA during biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing.

SKU# | BO0313 |
Note | Kunitz units reported by other vendors may be 2 to 4 times higher than the Kunitz units measured by our lab. Based on our laboratory's measurements, one Kunitz Unit can digest 1 mg of calf thymus (or pUC19 or phage) DNA in 10 minutes at 37oC, 50 mM Tris, 1 mM Mg2+, 1 mM Ca2+, and pH 7.8. The correlation of the digestion units to the Kunitz Units may be different in other buffer systems. |
Storage Buffer | 5 mM calcium acetate, 4 mg/ml glycine, pH 5.0 and 50% glycerol. |
Reaction Buffer (10X) | 500 mM Tris-HCl, 10 mM MgSO4, 1 mM CaCl2, pH 7.8, provided. |
Source | Bacterium pichiae |
Description | Recombinant bovine pancreatic deoxyribonuclease 1 was produced by Pichia pastoris. Purified by chromatography. Free of animal source components, RNases and proteases. 5mM calcium acetate, 4mg/ml glycine, pH 5.0 and 50% glycerol in liquid form. Comes with 10x reaction buffer. |
Activity | ≥2 units per microliter |
Storage | -20°C |
Requires special shipping | Ice pack |
Unit Definition | At pH 5.0, when used for highly polymerized DNA, one unit at 250°C at 260 nm results in a 0.001 increase in absorbance per minute, the same as our other DNase I products. |
