MSE PRO™ Folin-Ciocalteu's Phenol Reagent

The MSE PRO™ Folin-Ciocalteu's Phenol Reagent, Under alkaline conditions, W6+ in Folinol reacts with the phenolic hydroxyl groups present in the system to obtain W5+ which shows blue color. Folinol can react with amino acids containing phenolic groups in protein molecules (e.g., tyrosine, tryptophan, etc.) to generate dark blue complexes, and the shade of blue is proportional to the content of proteins. The blue color is proportional to the protein content. It is commonly used for the determination of protein content.
