MSE PRO™ Glycerol
The MSE PRO™ Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is an odorless, colorless and sweet-smelling liquid that is viscous in its natural state, and it forms inter- and intramolecular hydrogen bonds, making it a very flexible molecule. It is stable at room temperature and is a good solvent. Glycerol is widely used in industrial production as well as biochemical research as an important basic raw material. It has a slight special odor or no odor, sweet taste, and moisture attraction. Can absorb moisture from the air, but also can absorb hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide and sulfur dioxide. Neutral to litmus, can cause combustion and explosion when encountering strong oxidizing agents such as chromium trioxide, potassium chlorate, potassium permanganate. Can miscible with water, ethanol, slightly soluble in acetic acid, acetone, insoluble in chloroform, ether, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, petroleum ether and oil, irritating.
