Product details

Tantalum (Ta) has a very high melting point (>3000 ā„ƒ) and great corrosive resistance to molten metal, making it an ideal material to make crucibles for advanced alloys production. Tantalum crucibles are widely used in manufacturing super alloys, electron-beam melting, metallurgical, machinery processing, glass, and ceramic industries.

Powder processing is recommended before the calcination. MSE Supplies offers a variety of balling milling equipment and accessories for powder processing.

Recommended fill rate: 67~75% 

Recommend to use under inert gas. Use under air or oxygen-rich environment will cause the oxidation of Ta crucible and shorten the crucible life time.
