    Applications 

    Holmium Nitrate Pentahydrate (Ho(NO3)3 · 5H2O) is a light yellow rare earth salt. It is used as a source material to product holmium metal and other holmium compounds such as holmium-beta-cyclodextrin, poly[tetraaquadi-μ5-fumarato-μ4-fumaratodiholmium(III)] trihydrate, etc. It is also used as a dopant in ceramics and glasses.
