MSE PRO™ Manganese Cobalt Oxide for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs), D50 15-45um
Manganese Cobalt Oxide (MCO) is commonly used in YSZ electrolyte-based Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). It serves as an evaporation barrier on chromite-based interconnects to prevent cathode poisoning. This material is particularly noteworthy because its coefficient of thermal expansion closely matches that of doped zirconia, and it demonstrates excellent electrochemical performance at temperatures above 800°C (1475°F). Additionally, it is a highly insoluble and thermally stable material suitable for use in glass, optic, and ceramic applications as well.
