Applications:
Used as nuclear stain, bacterial stain, widely used in enzyme histochemistry, immunostaining and in situ hybridization experiments. Used as a tracking dye in acidic buffers for electrophoresis. Also used in the methyl green pyrrolidone method to demonstrate DNA and RNA in tissue sections.
