MSE PRO Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC)
SKU: BO2099
MSE PRO™ Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC)
The MSE PRO™ Cellulose Microcrystalline, The main component is a linear polysaccharide substance connected by β-1,4-glucosidic bonds. After natural cellulose undergoes acid hydrolysis to a limiting degree of polymerization (LODP), it forms free-flowing, extremely fine, short rod-like or powdery, porous white crystalline particles. It is odorless, tasteless, and almost insoluble in water and dilute acids, but can disperse in water and partially swell in dilute alkali.
Applications:
Cellulose, a bio-based material with high crystallinity, has great potential in the field of piezoelectricity. It is used to prepare chromatographic media, electrophoresis gels, and ion separation for biochemical research. Additionally, it can serve as a biomaterial matrix, used in the production of cellulose nitrate or cellulose acetate, column chromatography, and filtration.
