MSE PRO™ Neuraminidase
The MSE PRO™ Neuraminidase, also known as sialidase, is a hydrolytic enzyme that removes sialic acid from mucins by hydrolyzing the α(2→3), α(2→6), and α(2→8)-glycosidic bonds of sialic acid residues at the ends of different sugar molecules, removing N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid) from a variety of glycoproteins. The optimum pH of the enzyme is 5.0 to 5.1. little or no activity is observed at pH 4.0 or above pH 8.0.
