Calcium fluoride (CaF₂) crystal is an optical material belonging to the cubic crystal system. It features a transmission wavelength range of 0.13–10 µm. With its high hardness, strong resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks, and excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) spectra, it is widely used in various fields, including lasers, infrared optics, ultraviolet optics, astronomical observation, aerial surveying, high-resolution optical instruments, and high-energy detectors.
