Silicon disulfide (SiS2) is a chemical compound that has various applications in different fields. SiS2 exhibits superior specific capacity, small diffusion barrier and suitable open-circuit voltages (OCV), which indicating that SiS2 is an exceptional anode for Li, Na and K-ion batteries. Due to its high thermal and chemical stability, as well as high hardness, SiS2 is utilized in various applications including lubricant additives, chemical intermediates, glass production, batteries, and semiconductors.
