Applications:
Tris-HCl is used in the preparation of various buffer systems for biochemical experiments, Tris-HCl is used for protein crystal growth under different pH conditions; the low ionic strength of Tris-HCl buffer can be used for the formation of intermediate fibers in the nuclear fibrillar lamellipodia protein (lamin) of the nematode (C. elegans); Tris-HCl is also one of the main components of the buffer solution for protein electrophoresis; furthermore, Tris-HCl is also used for the preparation of nucleic acids and proteins in electrophoresis. Tris-HCl is also an intermediate in the preparation of surfactants, vulcanization accelerators and some drugs; Tris-HCl is also used as a titration standard.
