The MSE PRO™ Lima bean trypsin inhibitor inhibits bovine and human trypsin, fibrinolytic enzymes, and forms equimolar complexes with trypsin and chymotrypsin. Lima bean inhibitors can be chromatographically separated into as many as six variants.Jones et al . , Biochem. , 2, 66, ( 1963 ) portrayed four of them. All have a similar but not identical amino acid composition, contain six or seven disulfide bonds, and lack methionine and tryptophan. Molecular weights range from 8 ~ 10 k Da.
