MSE PRO™ Trypsin, Purified, Sequencing Grade II
The MSE PRO™ Trypsin is a pancreatic serine protease with substrate specificity based on positively charged lysine and arginine side chains. It is derived from a 34 kDa inactive precursor enzyme, trypsinogen, which produces a 23.8 kDa trypsin molecule after enzymatic removal of the N-terminal 6-amino acid lead sequence. Its optimum pH is 8.0. it is soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents. In vertebrates, it acts specifically on the carboxyl terminus of the Lys or Arg residues of the peptide chain. It not only acts as a digestive enzyme, but also restricts the decomposition of the precursors of other enzymes such as chymotrypsinogen, carboxypeptidyl peptidyl peptidaseogen, phospholipaseogen, etc. It acts as an activating feature. It can be used for specific proteolysis, protein sequencing, peptide profiling and proteomics research. Sequencing grade trypsin has been further purified to remove trace amounts of contaminating proteases and autolysis products that may interfere with trypsin digestion experiments and to show a single band on PAGE.

Applications:
Used in biochemical research for specific proteolytic digestion, protein sequencing, making peptide profiles, and proteomics studies. It can also be used as an enzyme preparation for biochemical studies and as a cell digestive enzyme in cell culture experiments. Physiologically, it is also involved in important processes of metabolism, digestion, coagulation and other functions in animals.
