It is a mixture of peptones, peptides and amino acids with varying degrees of hydrolysis. Peptones are a source of nutrition for bacterial growth. Soluble in water. Insoluble in alcohol. According to different uses, peptone products can be divided into three categories: biochemical reagent peptones, industrial peptones and biochemical reagent peptones. Widely used in antimicrobials, amino acids, enzymes, nucleic acids and other fermentation industry, biochemical and biological reagents.
