Organic Element Analyzer (EA) Analytical Service

Organic Element Analyzer (EA) Analytical Service

SKU: EA001

  • $ 13095

Organic element analyzer (EA) is an instrument that can accurately, efficiently and conveniently obtain the content of organic elements (C, H, O, N, S) in organic compounds. It is widely used in many fields such as organic compounds, polymer materials, biomedicine, petrochemicals, etc.

EA mainly uses the principle of high-temperature combustion method to analyze the content of conventional organic elements in the sample. Under high-temperature oxygen conditions, organic matter can burn, and after combustion, the organic elements in it are converted into corresponding stable forms. Therefore, under the premise of known sample mass, the content of each element in the sample can be obtained by measuring the amount of gaseous products generated after the sample is completely burned and converting them.

Reservation Notes:

Sample Recovery Service is Not Supported for This Test!

Sample Requirements:

  • Powder Samples: Generally, at least 30 mg is required.
  • Solid Samples: The dimensions should be smaller than 2 × 2 mm.
  • Solution Samples: At least 2 mL is required, and the solution must not contain water (as water will cause inaccurate test results) or volatile liquids (as they can lead to weighing inaccuracies).

Prohibited Sample Components:
Samples must not contain water, metals, phosphorus (P), or halogen elements, as these can result in test inaccuracies and potentially damage the instrument.

Prohibited Samples for Organic Elemental Analysis:
Highly acidic, alkaline, or explosive samples (e.g., gasoline, diesel, explosives, and certain nitrocellulose materials) are strictly prohibited from testing.

Low Elemental Content:
For samples with very low elemental content, the testing error may be significant. As a general guideline, results for elements with concentrations below 1% are for reference only.

Analytical Service Minimum order requirement: $250 per order. A $200 handling fee will be applied if order is below $250.

MSE Analytical Services offer professional EA analytical services using Elementar Vario EL or similar instrument.
