The Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) analyzer is an ultra-sensitive mass sensor that can be used in both liquid and gas environments.

Basic Parameters: It can measure frequency changes, mass, and thickness. Dissipation-mode QCM can also measure dissipation factors, interfacial rheology, conformational changes, etc. The dissipation factor reveals the rigidity or flexibility of the sample on the quartz crystal surface, which can be used to calculate surface viscosity and elastic modulus (interfacial rheology).

Mass Measurement: Determines the mass of molecular layers formed on the test surface with nanogram precision. For example, it can detect structural changes in protein monolayers at concentrations of 1% or lower.

Structural Changes: Simultaneously measures structural changes, enabling differentiation between two similar binding reactions or observing phase transitions occurring on the adsorption layer.

Real-Time Analysis: Provides real-time recording and kinetic evaluation.

Label-Free: Does not require molecular labeling; the instrument measures the molecules directly.
