Sper high-precision Digital Lab Refractometers measure concentrations in brix, salinity, refractive index and clinical parameters with full scale accuracy of 0.1% using CCD scanner (= linear scanned array imaging) technology.
Our refractometers are simple to use, calibrates to distilled water and requires a sample of only 0.4 ml. They instantly display temperature in addition to multiple scales with the unit of measure indicated on the large LCD.
The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), automatic shutoff (after 3 minutes), and visual min/max alarms. Low power consumption enables 5000 readings, before the LCD indicates that the battery should be replaced. The water resistant design protects the electronics from wet environments and makes for easy clean ups. Comes ready to use with a 9V battery, distilled water, a transfer-pipet, instructions and a protective case. Two standard models are available in this series, varying according to range.
Brix refractometers, which are also called sugar refractometers, are commonly used in the food and beverage, agriculture and wine industries. Fruit farmers will use a refractometer to check the sugar content of fruit on the vine to determine the best time for harvesting.
