Applications:

Propylene carbonate is a solvent that captures CO2 through physical absorption. It has proved useful in the fluor process of physisorption. Propylene carbonate has been extensively used for years because of its low viscosity, inexpensiveness, low volatility, low desorption heat, and simplicity of use. As an excellent medium for the battery industry, propylene carbonate serves as an electrolyte in lithium batteries and can withstand harsh conditions of light, heat, and chemical changes.
