The temperature programmed analysis technology is a dynamic analysis process. When certain adsorbents are adsorbed on the catalyst surface, it is heated at a certain heating rate under the protection of inert gas to detect the changes in the composition and concentration of the outflowing gas and characterize the changes in the chemical properties of the catalyst surface. It is collectively called the temperature programmed analysis technology. 

According to the different pretreatment conditions and atmosphere, it can be divided into temperature programmed desorption (TPD), temperature programmed reduction (TPR), temperature programmed oxidation (TPO), temperature programmed surface reaction (TPSR) and pulse adsorption.
