MSE PRO™ 5N (99.999%) Selenium (Se) Pieces (1-3mm) Evaporation Materials

Selenium (Se) is a nonmetal element with grey metallic luster. The main uses for selenium are glassmaking and pigments. It is used in photocells, DC power surge protectors and fluorescent quantum dot. As for coating, it is used on implants for antibacterial property. Evaporated Selenium thin film is a candidate for X-ray photoconductor. It can also be co-evaporated with other materials to form compound thin layers.

The dimensions and purities can be customized upon request. Please contact us for customization or bulk orders.

This material has a relatively high vapor pressure at low temperatures which can cause ppm level contamination in the chamber and subsequent films.

Hazardous Materials: Hazardous shipping charges may apply.
