Cone Calorimeter Analytical Service
SKU: CCA001
Overview
A Cone Calorimeter is an instrument used to measure the fire behavior of materials by analyzing parameters such as heat release rate, ignition time, mass loss rate, and smoke production. It uses a conical-shaped radiant heater to apply a controlled heat flux to the material sample, simulating real-world fire conditions. Widely used in material science, construction, and safety engineering, it provides critical data for evaluating flammability and fire resistance, helping to improve fire safety standards and material performance.
This method is used to test the heat release rate, mass loss rate, smoke production, effective heat of combustion, and smoke toxicity of materials during combustion. Samples should have dimensions of 100 mm × 100 mm, with thickness based on the actual sample, typically around 3 mm. It is suitable for testing materials like panels and polymers.
