Micro hand torch & accessories

The small micro hand torch is perfect for the precise and safe melting of Mark tubes. With its tiny, adjustable flame, this tool can accurately melt the capillaries at a specific spot, without heating a larger area of the tube as is the case with normal torches.  Operated using a mixture of gases, such as hydrogen and oxygen or propane gas and oxygen, a very hot flame is produced which can even be used on quartz glass. This hand torch is a highly versatile tool, for light flaming to more complicated tasks, and suitable for almost any type of glass.

Operation 

The hand torch comprises a mixing chamber with two gas inlets. These inlets are also suitable for more aggressive media such as hydrogen and oxygen. The gas flow can be precisely adjusted at the head of the mixing chamber via two separate needle valves. Delivery of the torch includes an angled nozzle with a 0.3 mm hole.

Options 

A table tripod is also optionally available, for making your work easier. When using the tripod, you have both hands free for holding the Mark tube during the melting process. The torch is also fixed into place and remains steady. A stainless steel nozzle is available for special requirements, containing a ruby insert and nozzle opening of just 0.18 mm. The nozzle also allows for extremely small and hot flames. In order to create more heat at the same time, another option is a distributor piece which can be used to divide the gas flow between two nozzles at the tip of the torch.
