The MSE PRO™ 2,3-Dimercapto-1-Propanol, Dimercaptopropanol, also known as 2,3-dimercapto-1-propanol (DMPC), is an antibiotic that has been shown to have an effective synergistic effect when used in combination with other antibiotics.DMPC is also a reactive chemical that reacts with oxygen in the air to form 2,3-dimercapto-1-propanol peroxyl radicals and hydrogen peroxide. It is a heavy metal chelator. Commonly used for heavy metal poisoning (arsenic, gold, mercury, etc.).DMPC inhibits fatty acid synthase and prevents the synthesis of long-chain fatty acids. Miscible with methanol, ethanol and benzyl benzoate, soluble in vegetable oil. Soluble in water and decompose at the same time. Sensitive to air, easily oxidized in air.
