Uses of Lanthanum Metal Powder

Lanthanum metal powder has a larger specific surface area, higher reactivity, and better dispersibility compared to bulk lanthanum metal. Its applications are increasingly expanding in fields such as steel, precision alloys, special metals, and catalysts. Tungsten alloys, molybdenum alloys, and titanium alloys have issues such as low grain boundary strength and brittleness at low temperatures. During their processing, adding lanthanum metal powder and other rare earth metal powders and thoroughly mixing them can utilize the rare earth micro-alloying effect to effectively refine the structure and improve alloy properties.

Other Uses of Lanthanum Powder

1. Used in the production of nickel-metal hydride batteries, which is one of the main applications of lanthanum powder.
