The MSE PRO™ L-Amino Acid Oxidase (L-Amino Acid Oxidase) is an oligoglycoprotein consisting of two distinct ~70 kDa subunits in equal amounts. Different combinations of the two subunits give rise to three electrophoretically distinct isozymes.L-amino acid oxidase catalyzes the oxidative deamination of a wide range of L-amino acids. The enzyme is absolutely specific for the L-isomer. Our product was prepared to the pre-crystallization stage following the method of Wellner and Meister, JBC, 235, 2013, (1960).

Applications:
Biochemical studies. Inhibits platelet aggregation induced by ADP and collagen. Cytotoxic and induces apoptosis. Inhibits the growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and dysentery bacilli, kills tumor cells and induces platelet aggregation, and these activities are inhibited by catalase. This product is for scientific use only.
Promotes the oxidation of natural amino acids.
