The MSE PRO™ D-(+)-Maltose monohydrate, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether. There is aldehyde reaction, can occur silver mirror reaction, but also with the Ban's reagent (with copper sulfate, sodium carbonate or caustic soda, sodium citrate and other solutions prepared) co-heating to generate a brick red cuprous oxide precipitate.
