The MSE PRO™ Diaphorase, Cardiac xanthanase, also known as lipoic acid dehydrogenase. Has been used to assess protein-protein interactions during the assembly of lipoic acid on 2-oxoacid dehydrogenase during aerobic metabolism. Can be obtained from anaerobic sludge organisms.

Applications:
Used in the construction of acetaldehyde biosensors. Also used to reoxidize NADP to NADPH. was used to evaluate protein-protein interactions during assembly of lipoic acid on 2-oxoacid dehydrogenase during aerobic metabolism. Was used to study the redox regulation of tyrosine nitration and the reduction of 3-nitrotyrosine by antioxidants.
