In highly polymerized preparations, molecular weights range from 70 kDa to 2000-4000 kDa.Hyaluronic acid is a class of macromolecular proteoglycans characterized by highly polymerized chains of repeating disaccharide glucuronides β-(1-3)N-acetylglucosamine (β1-4). It is found in connective tissues, skin, eyeballs and other parts of the human body and has good biocompatibility and biodegradability. Hyaluronic acid has a strong water-absorbent capacity and is able to absorb and retain large amounts of water, keeping tissues moist and elastic.
