Applications:

Indium oxide (In2O3) is an n-type semiconductor with a wide bandgap. In2Obased nanostructured thin films possess excellent visible transparency, metal-like electrical conductivity, and infrared reflectance properties. In2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) find applications in solar cells, field-emission displays, lithium-ion batteries, nanoscale biosensors, gas sensors, optoelectronics, and photocatalysis. Indium oxide based materials are also used in electro-optic modulators, as window heaters in the electronic field, electrochromic mirrors, and as building blocks in upcoming nanoelectronics.
