MSE Supplies offers an Ion Sputtering Coater that is ideal and designed for lab SEM sample preparation. It is a coater that applies a thin conductive film on a sample surface. Applying this coating to a non-conductive sample is an effective preparation technique for diminishing charge-up electron artifacts for analysis in a SEM. It is widely used to deposit gold/Au coatings on non-conductive samples for improved imaging results and it is also an excellent choice for surface treatment.
When using an appropriate vacuum pump, it can quickly reach working vacuum pressure within 2 minutes. It is easy to use and operate.
