This Hydrogen Generator with max. flow rate 500mL/min is used to generate ≥99.999% purity hydrogen by alkaline electrolysis. This series hydrogen generators utilize electrolysis of KOH liquid to produce hydrogen, catering to the requirements of various gas chromatographs worldwide. The operational principle of this instrument relies on traditional electrolysis of lye, where the conducting medium in the cell is a KOH solution. A membrane between the two electrode chambers facilitates electrolysis. Upon the application of direct current, electrochemical reactions occur within the water molecule, yielding oxygen at the anode and hydrogen at the cathode. 

The generator features automated pressure control, protective measures, flow display, and flow tracking. Hydrogen output is self-regulated based on the required hydrogen flow under stable pressure within the output flow range. Those features make it widely used as gas phase and carrier gas in gas chromatography (GC), as well as reaction gases for ELCD (Electrolytic Conductivity Detector) and ED (Atomic Emission Detector).
