The MSE PRO™ Lead chloride, also known as lead dichloride, is easily soluble in ammonium chloride and ammonium nitrate solutions, alkali metal hydroxide solutions. Slightly soluble in water, dilute hydrochloric acid, ammonia. Insoluble in alcohol. Toxic. Surface discoloration under strong light.

Applications:
Used in the manufacture of Vernal yellow, lead oxide chloride, as well as solder and flux. Can be used to form precursor solutions to form chalcogenide films, which can be used in hybrid solar absorbers and photodetectors. Potential for thermoelectric material applications.
