The MSE PRO™ Methyl Blue, Sodium Salt, Methyl Blue is a triaminotriphenylmethane dye that is widely used in industry for paper, textile and leather production. Methyl Blue also has an antiseptic effect. It is blue in color when dissolved in water and insoluble in ethanol. It is reddish brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, and blue-violet when diluted.
