The MSE PRO™ Peroxidase, abbreviated HRP, is a heme protein that catalyzes the oxidation of many substrates, such as ascorbic acid, ferrous cyanide, cytochrome C, and the colorless forms of many dyes, via hydrogen peroxide.HRP has a molecular weight of 40 kDa, and has an optimal pH of 7.0.HRP is a widely used labeling enzyme, and can be used to label antibodies or other proteins for both localization and quantitative assays.
