MSE PRO™ Phenol Red
The MSE PRO™ Phenol Red is a phenol sulfophthalein compound that exists as a sulfonated hydroxyquinone in weakly acidic aqueous solutions and, in alkaline solutions, forms a hydrophilic divalent anion. It is stable in air and has a pH discoloration range of 6.8~8.2 (yellow to red). Easily soluble in alkali hydroxide and carbonate alkali solution is red, with zinc powder azeotropic color fading, slightly soluble in water, very slightly soluble in acetone, almost insoluble in ether and chloroform, irritating.
