The MSE PRO™ Protease, S. Aureus (Endoproteinase Glu-C), Protease S specifically cleaves peptide bonds flanking the COOH terminus of aspartate or glutamate. In the presence of ammonium, the enzyme specifically recognizes the glutamate site. Molecular weight is 27,000 Da and the optimum pH with hemoglobin as substrate is 4.0 and 7.8. can be inhibited by diisopropyl fluorophosphate and monovalent anions such as F-, Cl-, CH3COO- and NO3.
