Applications

Ta2O5 (Tantalum (V) Oxide or Tantalum Pentoxide) is used in ceramics, glass, and capacitor materials.  Due to its dielectric constant and high band gap it has been used extensively in electronics.  Other uses include optics and glass due to its high refractive index.  Ta2O5 is also a material used to produce Ta-doped LLZO garnet solid state electrolyte materials, which can be ordered from MSE Supplies.
