MSE PRO™ Titanium Porous Transfer Layers
Description
Titanium Porous Transfer Layers (PTLs) are a type of material used in electrochemical systems, such as fuel cells and electrolyzers.
PTLs are placed between the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer of an
electrochemical cell to improve the performance of the cell. The PTL provides
a pathway for reactant gases to reach the catalyst layer, where they can be
converted into electricity or fuel. The PTL also helps to evenly distribute the
reactant gases across the catalyst layer, which enhances the overall efficiency
of the electrochemical reaction.
Titanium PTLs have several advantages over other materials commonly used as
PTLs. They are lightweight, chemically stable, and have a high degree of
corrosion resistance. These properties make them ideal for use in harsh
operating conditions, such as those found in fuel cell or electrolyzer applications
