MSE PRO™ Tyrosine Decarboxylase, Apoenzyme
The MSE PRO™ Tyrosine decarboxylase catalyzes the removal of the tyrosine carboxyl group to produce tyramine and carbon dioxide.Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is an essential cofactor. Pyridoxal phosphate can be determined by using apoenzyme prepared from cells grown on vitamin B6-deficient medium.HOL enzyme can be used to determine tyrosine, phenylalanine, and dihydroxyphenylalanine in a piezometric or colorimetric manner.

Applications:
Can be used in biochemical assays to determine tyrosine, pyridoxal phosphate, phenylalanine and dihydroxyphenylalanine. It has also been studied for the purification and characterization of tyrosine decarboxylase and aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase. It has also been used to study the reduction of tyrosine decarboxylase by sodium borohydride.
