MSE PRO™ Uncoated Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) Flat Windows, Rectangle Shape
Calcium fluoride (CaF2) window is a common optical window material with excellent ultraviolet and infrared transmittance. Its optical range spans from vacuum ultraviolet at 0.13 micrometers to far infrared at 10 micrometers, encompassing five levels: IR infrared, VIS visible, UV ultraviolet, VUV vacuum ultraviolet, and quasi-molecular levels.
It possesses a high laser damage threshold and is commonly used in producing optical components for quasi-molecular lasers, smartphone lenses, camera lenses, infrared sensor windows, thermal observation windows, among others. It finds wide application in low-energy nuclear physics experiments, detecting charged ions in nuclear reactors, monitoring environmental radiation, and radiological medical diagnosis.
Calcium fluoride crystal exhibits high hardness, strong resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks, good seismic and thermal shock resistance, as well as excellent mechanical processing properties.
