Applications

Titanium Niobium Carbide (TiNbC), is a typical representative material among the emerging family of 2D layered transition metal carbides and/or nitrides referred to as MXenes. It has exhibited multiple advantages such as metallic conductivity, a plastic layer structure, small band gaps, and the hydrophilic nature of its functionalized surface. It is widely used for energy storage applications such as supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and lithium–sulfur batteries. It also can be used for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding coatings, semiconductors and catalysis.

Multilayer Titanium Niobium Carbide (TiNbC) MXene is an advanced material with many applications. It's used in energy storage, catalysis, analytical chemistry, mechanics, adsorption, biology, microelectronics, and sensors, offering advantages such as good conductivity, high capacity, and good thermal stability.
